Informix has announced a structural reorganisation to focus on the data warehousing and ecommerce markets. Company chairman and chief executive, Bob Finocchio, explained that the new divisions were created in response to demands from customers to solve "emerging new business problems."
According to Leonard Palomino, new general manager of Informix's data warehousing division, the move should enable the company to cope with a wider scale of data warehousing and ecommerce projects "from the smallest datamart to the largest Unix data warehouse".
