Inprise has launched a line of middleware products which it claims are the first to allow businesses to develop enterprise applications in Java.

The VisiBroker Integrated Transaction Service (ITS) works with VisiBroker ORB and JBuilder 2.0. The aim is to encourage companies to deploy Java throughout their business.

According to Inprise, Java-based ecommerce products are the key to developing applications which guarantee secure transactions over the Internet.
