In brief: National Grid wins Brazilian power deal

National Grid has extended its overseas presence by signing an exclusive 10-year agreement with Eletrobas, the leading state-owned Brazilian electricity generation and high voltage company.

The company will develop privately-owned electricity transmission systems at green-field sites throughout Brazil.
