Next-generation Web-enabled workflow software will enable users to modify entire business processes almost instantaneously, according to a Gartner Group analyst. Regino Casonato, research director at Gartner, said workflow should not simply automate business processes - it should redesign and improve them. Casonato claims that by 2001, all industries will have broadly implemented these 'work management' technologies. "Web-enablement of workflow is happening," Casonato said. "The profound transformation of the Internet on workflow, is that it will link a company to its users and customers."
